JODHPUR 6AM
JODHPUR 6AM
Eau de Parfum
A scent of crisp Rajasthani mornings, the famous Indian Blue City waking from deep night to tangy market fruits, glorious tuberose weather and milky spices simmered and swirled in Masala Chai tea.
Jodhpur 6am is a sublime take on the chai trope, something that pops up from time to time in perfumery but rarely as elegantly or poised as this. A full-bodied black tea is satisfyingly blended with a piquant citrus burst of ginger and the green oiliness of cardamom, one of the most aromatic and distinctive spices in the perfumer’s palette.
The hot milk accord is another use of lacteous whiteness that is a feature of this L’Entropiste collection. It feels like perfumer Betrand Duchaufour is painting his compositions onto bone white canvases. Something of that whiteness will always show through like a phantom.
Jodhpur 6am combines its creamy spiced masala with a beautiful flourish of tuberose, a flower that radiates a voluptuous richesse, blessed with animalic indoles and solar beauty. There is a unique cut fruit vibe to the odour of blooming tuberose, a mix of yuzu and green mango. This marries perfectly with the pink zestiness of the ginger rhizome, providing a delicious counterpoint to the main masala melange. The atmospheric quality of the tea note makes Jodhpur 6am a delight to overdose on, revelling in the comfort of its gourmandise.
