倔强草莓 | the stubborn strawberry.

A fragrance made for everyone. It's a hug. It's a word of comfort. It had to be simple enough to understand immediately and something a child would love.

So the perfumer thought of strawberry, the favourite scent of the house's three-year-old little sister. “She's a tough little strawberry herself - sometimes bossy, often sensitive. I wanted to make this perfume for her. And I believe that if she loves it, everyone else will too. That was my goal this time: a real strawberry, a good perfume.”

He captured the fingerprint of a fresh, living strawberry and rebuilt its scent, using sunshine and earth as the backdrop. Then the journey from the outside in: blackcurrant, pink berries and little green tangerines for the seeds; osmanthus, ylang-ylang and kumquat for the flesh; grapefruit and earth at the end for a subtle sense of emptiness. Vanilla and musk add depth, like water and honey seeping from a wound.

Petit green tangerine. A rare material found only in Xinhui, China. Sharp, green and unapologetic. Here it carries the particular texture of strawberry seeds.

Kumquat. Sweet and rounded, bridging floral and fruity, used for the sensation of juice bursting as you bite in.
