Eau de Toilette
Cashmere is a heavenly perfume of intense comfort, drenched in white musks, layers of talcum powder, freshly washed skin, white tea and clean laundry. Its initial simplicity develops into something emotional, and it becomes somehow impossible to tell where Cashmere ends and your skin begins.
The delicate downiness has been rendered with skill and gossamer beauty over a foundation of lacteous woods, powdery musks, orris and tender vanilla. Guaiac wood adds a frisson of snuffed out candle that complements ambrette seed, sometimes known as Musk Mallow, a tropical hibiscus and the only naturally occurring plant-derived musk.
Master Perfumer Olivier Cresp is one of the most well-known and diverse perfumers currently at work, equally at home with masstige brands and independent houses. Famous for Dolce & Gabbana's Light Blue, his own Akro line and part of the team that created the divisive but game-changing Angel for Thierry Mugler, so much of his work concerns transparency, working with skin musks, aquatic nuances and the addiction of glassy floral compositions.
Cashmere is a masterly piece of perfumery. Jasmine and sparkling aldehydes are key to its form and the way it holds to skin, suffused with nostalgia and solace. A perfume of exquisite invisibility.
