On mystical Mount Kunlun, a sacred peach tree connects heaven and earth. Once every 3000 years the peaches ripen, and a banquet is held. It is said that the mere scent of this divine fruit grants immortality. Tian Di, created by Olivier Gillotin is a languorous interpretation of this myth.

A dry smoked peach tea note at the start is gorgeously satisfying. Amid this peachiness is an underlying bitter scent of chrysanthemums, petals rolled and crushed between fingers. Peach does not mean vintage Guerlain here, it is a tea note gently brewed with Chinese spices and fumed with incense.

Tian Di is the whispering exhale of heirloom box within box, dusty orris root and cracked sandalwood. The drydown is delicate but remains distinctive. A dash of saltiness, galbanum and tonkin musk add mulch and powder to an evocative scent that reaches quietly from earth to heaven.
