El Descanso is seductively complex. Creamy bran and boudoir ambrette folded around a blend of mimosa, ambrette, lemon, orris and vanillic tonka bean. A singular composition of strange cereal moreishness mixed with powder and bittersweet elegance inspired by the golden wheatfields of the Argentine pampas, it is a perfect balance of comfort and hedonism.

An intriguing note is Ombú wood, an evergreen tree that symbolises Argentina and Uruguay and the traditional Gaucho culture. It imparts a mossy herbaceous vibe to the composition and marries gracefully to the clever counterpointing of lemon, green rose and a lovely vanilla infusion.

An equine ambience of mane and dust floats just out of reach as El Descanso begins to dissolve, an echoing reference of gaucho horses, grazing in twilight as insects flicker in the dying light.
