EAU DE PARFUM

I’Khana is a word from the Choctaw language meaning enlightened, and this beautiful perfume is one of bright luminescence and warm breezes over the Florida Keys.

The opening is beautifully zesty and bitter-sweet, with grapefruit, a notoriously difficult note to use in perfume, bright and joyful as holiday laughter. A zephyr of salty air and tropical light is washed through with sharp woody lime rind that serves to further exalt the pithy rush of opening citrus.

A generous dose of sparkling pink pepper bridges the wilful top notes into an acerbic and earthy blast of ginger absolute that balances moist pungency with earthy woodiness reflecting the rhizome’s underground origins.

Everything about I’Khana celebrates refreshment and a cool peace of mind. Interestingly the citrus notes, while softening, have lovely staying power, fading down into a base creamy sandalwood, coconut and a diffusion of skin-soft white musks.

The result is simultaneously calming and dynamic, not overtly intrusive but blended so well, the notes sink into the skin with laid-back sensuality.

As with all the Source Adage perfumes there is a soft tension in the way I’Khana unfolds and eases itself out on skin making it feel like an intimate part of you.
