ERIS Parfums, A compelling collection of retro-stained futurism
Named after the Greek goddess of discord, ERIS Parfums launched in 2016, a sensual labour of love by writer and vintage perfume connoisseur Barbara Herman. After interviewing Antoine Lie for the “Scent Visionaries” section of her 2013 book, Scent and Subversion: Decoding a Century of Provocative Perfume, she asked him to compose fragrances for ERIS. The first three perfumes, Night Flower, Ma Bête and Belle de Jour were rapturously gathered to perfumistas hearts. Since then, Mx., Mxx., Green Spell and Scorpio Rising have joined the ERIS perfume line-up. The perfumes are a potent mix of yesteryear and subversive erudition. Dietrich leathers and bittergreen chyprés, narcotic florals and glossy musks lacquer the skin. And for those who fancy dipping their toes into ERIS’s world of subversive glamour, there’s an ERIS Perfume Discovery Set.
