The volume of a discovery set varies depending on the brand, but most sets include multiple samples in the 1.5 ml to 2 ml range. Some houses may offer slightly larger or smaller formats, but each is designed to provide enough fragrance for proper wear testing.

Apply a small amount to pulse points such as the wrists or neck, just as you would with a full bottle. Allow the fragrance to settle and evolve over time rather than judging it immediately. Sampling is most useful when worn across a full day, as many perfumes change significantly as they dry down.

Perfume sample vials are not typically designed to be refilled, especially crimped spray formats. At Sainte Cellier, samples are prepared in-house and intended for single use. If you would like more of a fragrance, it is best to purchase an additional sample or a full-size bottle.

Orders are prepared by hand, and dispatch usually takes between three and five working days depending on what the order contains. Samples are hand-poured in small batches, which can take additional time.

Within the UK, orders are sent with Royal Mail using tracked services. Most parcels travel on the Tracked 48 service, although special arrangements can be made on request and may incur a surcharge.
