Danlo | 等路 等路 (Taiwanese: tán-lōo) is the gift you bring back from a journey. The thing you carry home for the people who didn't travel.
DANLO is a Taiwanese fragrance house that translates the island's most cherished flavours, treats and everyday rituals into scent.
Founded by Terrence Chen and composed by perfumer Kaiwei Hsieh, the collection draws on Taiwan's deep relationship with food as cultural memory. Each fragrance is a souvenir of something ordinary made extraordinary by the act of remembering.
The bottle designs draw on the tradition of Taiwanese majolica tiles, decorative ceramic tiles prevalent between 1915 and 1935. Illustrator Breeze has created a dedicated visual symbol for each fragrance, affixed to the base of the bottle. The moment you pick it up, you are looking down at the patterned floor of an old Taiwanese house.
The DANLO perfumes are the scent of coming home.
