Byronic Hero is a velvet night of charismatic passion and doomed love. It broods on skin, enigmatic and rebellious.
The penumbra swirls around a central core of rose, saffron and clove, classic perfume notes but twisted here into something gothic. The initial impression is surreal, Lynchian even, driverless cars careening down night roads, headlights catching the flickering glow of bonfires ablaze by the sides of the highway.
Would Byron be a biker if he was alive today? Poetically committed to the life of a lone rider, wrapped in an old leather jacket, stained and scarred by a lifetime of random encounters. It is tempting to imagine this as Byronic Hero roars ingeniously off skin.
Under certain conditions, particular roses smell petrolic, noir and crimson, shimmering with hot chrome. The heart of Byronic Hero is a viscous fir balsam note that sets green fire to the rose while earthy patchouli hints at counterculture dissent. The final fitting descent of this left-field hero is an artful diesel exhaust effect that spills a dark rose sillage into the darkness.
