Eau de Parfum
Bubble tea was invented in Taiwan in the 1980s and has since become one of the country's most recognisable cultural exports. But before it was a global phenomenon, it was something simpler: the cup after school, the comfort on the way to work, a tacit understanding between strangers in the same queue. In Taiwan, bubble tea is not a novelty. It is the taste of daily life.
Taimaru captures that everyday intimacy. Perfumer Kaiwei Hsieh opens the fragrance with the warm sweetness of Ruby Black Tea, Hongyu, one of Taiwan's most prized tea cultivars, grown in the mountains of Sun Moon Lake. Brown sugar and longan honey bring the rich, caramelised depth of boba syrup, while oolong tea grounds the composition with a roasted, subtly floral calm.
This is not a gourmand built for sweetness alone. It is a portrait of a ritual so embedded in everyday Taiwanese life that it almost goes unnoticed. Taimaru makes it visible again, in scent.
