Eau de Parfum
碎金 scattered gold. In Taiwanese, the word for peanut - 花生, huā shēng - sounds like "good things happening." Peanuts are scattered at weddings, placed on New Year tables and offered at temple altars, a symbol of blessing woven into everyday life.
Peanut candy, roasted peanuts wrapped in caramelised malt sugar, is among the most traditional of Taiwanese sweets, made for generations to mark celebrations and to share good fortune. The golden colour of the brittle and the warmth of the hands that made it are inseparable from the memory.
Perfumer Kaiwei Hsieh has captured that memory with tenderness and precision. Gold Dust opens with a roasted, nutty warmth that feels immediately familiar. Coffea Arabica adds a bittersweet depth, as though the candy was eaten alongside a strong cup of coffee. Sugarcane and malt sweeten the base with the sticky, caramelised comfort of something made by hand and given with love.
Gold Dust is the fragrance of a tiny piece that hides a heart that still holds space to wonder. Scattered gold, scattered blessings, still warm from someone's hands.
