Talisman is a scent of smoke in stone, gelid air blowing forested green weather. The layers part as it develops as opposed to blending overtly and this gives Talisman a distinctive alertness and impact, the gin stylings of juniper, pink pepper and chilly angelica rinsing through resins, amber and white musks.

Talismans are defined as objects inscribed with words of protection and cure, believed to be imbued with real force and faith and usually compact enough to wear or carry. Talisman is decorated with a drawing of a dreamcatcher, an object now rendered merely decorative but originating with the Ojibwe, people of the northeastern woodlands of America and Canada as spiritual hoops of willow and net, made to protect sleepers, catching nightmares and allowing only good dreams through.

The cool woody backdrop of Talisman is elegantly suffused with more piquant elements, particularly the elemi resin and sparkling pink pepper. What remains is the ghost of incense in stone, a ghostly presence in the evergreen endgame.
