BRUME
BRUME
Eau de Toilette
The inky, mineralised rain showers of Brume are fabulously melancholy. Brume is French for mist or fog and the perfume suggests a dawn garden, created with ramshackle intent. The fog rolls over dewy feet, air damp with green condensation. You breathe, a mindful calm holds you. It is an addictive kind of cold. The sun begins to rise, the sky a slow burn of peachy blues. This is a fascinating mix of synthetic and natural materials. Mastic, vetiver and noirish Adoxal, a name suggesting a bitterness of medication.
There is something unsettling about Brume though, a scent whose mix of surrealistic jardin and animalic, twisted green stems and electric grass, pierce the weird melancholia. A storm has passed, electrifying the air with vetiver. Chewy jade of mastic lingers, butterleaf and inky. Miss Havisham sleeps in an Empire chair, under a willow tree, her lace is pale green, her scented veil hiding secrets.
