Dunes. Sand. Gold. The overpowering brightness of coriander. The dryly marine seaweed absolute. Lush flowers, an oasis of treacly-fawn orange blossom and ingenuous jasmine.

Noonlight's parching spices, pimento berry and pink pepper redden and shiver. Sundown is come; the densely fruity labdanum summoned, to rise until the bright and milky Atlas cedarwood is spent.

Wafts of day and dark, Belle de Jour is a solar haze scintillating with incandescent drops of moonlight.
