Teisenddu is inspired by the Torta Negra, originally a Welsh cake that came to Argentina with settlers in 1853 on their ship Mimosa. There is still now a noticeable Welsh influence in certain areas as anyone who has read Bruce Chatwin’s amazing debut book, On Patagonia will know.

Teisenduu has delicious gourmand facets in keeping with its inspiration, rum, beeswax, cocoa, bran, ginger, vanilla and tonka mixed beautifully with juniper, nutmeg and a witty dose of mimosa.

The autumnal spice and suggestion of boozy dried fruits folded into cake mix is clever and moreish. Dark brown sugar is a key ingredient in the cake mix and with Teisenduu, perfumer Roxanne Kirkpatrick has used a high-quality dose of dark sugar crystals that lends the olfactive recipe its rich, sensual ambience. The blend of honeyed sweetness, spices and hints of flower make Teisenddu a gorgeous perfume to fall in love with.
