La Divina was one the very first Roman courtesans to achieve a kind of superstar status in the city. Her reputation was citywide and beyond, the kind of woman social media would have adored. Renowned for her kindness and intelligence, she was considered the standard of beauty, filled with grace and charm. She would famously lean from the window of her house, charging onlookers to pass by and gaze upon her. When she died, the funeral celebrations were the largest Rome had ever seen.

La Divina is essentially an extravagant rose with velveteen petals and a plummy, berry-rich aroma. Erring on the sweeter side, the central powdered musks are delicious, creating a boudoir scent, a mix of dried roses and soft talcum. Any overloading of sweetness is tempered by a carefully placed note of lacteous sandalwood in the base and poplar buds, a sign of spring, with a strong odour profile of herbal benzoin, raw honey and peppered spices. The rose note is beautiful, musky and diffusing a playful sensuality and fruity benevolence.
