A fascinating, full-throated perfume that opens with a whiplash of lush, sweet decay and a quivering leather resembling iso-butyl quinoline, the decadent Dietrich heart of so many iconic 1930s and 40s fragrances like Vent Vert, Jolie Madame and Bandit, all composed by Germaine Cellier, whom Sainte Cellier was named after.

The heart of Stardust Narcissus swells with a narcotic bouquet of narcissus, jonquil, lily of the valley and jasmine, basking under an overdose of galbanum, a gum resin with bittergreen mastic, green apple and anisic facets.

Intriguing fact: bitter galbanum was used in sacred incense mixes to represent deliberate and unrepentant sinners.

Stardust Narcissus is a covetous perfume, playing off the nostalgic verdant echoes of vintage Guerlain and Caron with a sharp-edged sense of floral modernism, an opiate narcissus / jonquil duet dusted in moonlight, oakmoss and tendrils of incense.

As the name suggests, the notes in Stardust Narcissus shimmer and luminesce from that moody, leather-lash of startling galbanum and hyacinth through the heartswoon of flowers and smoke down to a stalwart base of woods, supple leather, rooty vetiver and oakmoss. It is however Brooke and Nata’s triumphant showcasing of a cosmic narcissus that will have you seeing stars.
