Translating as `Asleep in the Sun, this delicately spiced mandarin and mimosa centred perfume is an ethereal and evocative addition to the Frassaï collection of scented memories. Each of the perfumes is unique yet connected by the precise desires and emotions of Natalia Outeda, Frassaï’s chic Creative Director and brand founder. She uses noses to create the fragrances but it beautifully apparent that Argentinian Natalia has a distinctive redolent vision for her brand. She understands the allure of skin graced with singular aromas.

Before Frassaï’s perfumes, Natalia designed jewellery, sculptural curvilinear pieces of gold that enhanced the wearer, reflecting both light and flesh.

In the same way, the Frassaï collection of perfumes have the same concept in mind. Scents that adorn skin, reflecting the wearer and allowing them to indulge in scentscapes that transport the mind through experience and indulgent dreaming.

Dormir al Sol is a dreamscape of warm, soft orange, sun and dappled shade. Dozing in the sun in an orange grove, feeling the earth beneath you and catching the scent of leaves and the almond and vanilla fluff of honeyed mimosa.

As you emerge from sleep, it takes a little time to adjust to the sunlight flickering through the leaves above and for a moment you feel the veil between dream and waking is barely there.

Frassaï perfumes are always composed with the most beautiful of materials allowing a bold juncture of perfumery and skin. Dormir al Sol has two such materials, forest pepper, a spice with green citrus facets and an unexpected brandy note in the heart of the scent that seems to create a drowsy, golden mood as smoky guaiac wood, patchouli and saffron fume upwards. A hint of quality vetiver adds to that hazy garden waking dreamscape.

The jungle pepper is quite unique, reminding us that pepper in perfumery is on a much more complex spectrum than just the generic corns we grind on food. Lime in the top of the perfume combines alluringly with the fruity pepper, threading down like bright light to the base.

The sense of sleepy abandon plays throughout Dormir al Sol, demonstrating again how agile and stylish the Frassaï perfumes are, embellishing skin with grace and difference.
