GREEN & SYLVAN Perfumes

Green notes capture the fresh, crisp or leafy aspects of plants. They may evoke crushed stems, young leaves, aromatic herbs or the slightly bitter snap of sap. Common green materials include galbanum, violet leaf, basil, mint, fig leaf and grassy or vegetal accords.

Green notes are often used to add brightness, sharpness or natural clarity to a composition. They can make a perfume feel airy, botanical or quietly sophisticated, depending on how they are balanced with florals, woods or citrus.

Green perfumes can be either. Some lean bright and fresh, highlighting leafy accords, herbs or citrus-tinted greenery that feels uplifting and clean. Others explore deeper, more sylvan territory, drawing on mosses, roots, resinous woods or fern-like structures that create an earthy, shaded or forest-like impression.

Many perfumes in the green family blend both aspects, offering a mix of freshness and soft earthiness that feels like moving from sunlight into woodland shade.

Longevity varies, but many forest-inspired perfumes are naturally long-lasting because they rely on deeper base materials such as cedarwood, vetiver, oakmoss, balsams or resinous accords. These ingredients tend to anchor a fragrance and keep it present on the skin.

Lighter green notes such as citrus, herbs or crisp leaves evaporate more quickly, but when they are paired with a woody or mossy base, the overall perfume often wears beautifully for several hours. The lasting power depends on the structure of the composition rather than the theme alone.

Orders are prepared by hand, and dispatch usually takes between three and five working days depending on what the order contains. Samples are hand-poured in small batches, which can take additional time.

Within the UK, orders are sent with Royal Mail using tracked services. Most parcels travel on the Tracked 48 service, although special arrangements can be made on request and may incur a surcharge.

International orders, including samples, are shipped with FedEx. Delivery times vary depending on destination and customs processing.

Perfume is considered a hygiene-sensitive item, and under UK Consumer Contracts Regulations it cannot be returned once opened. This applies whether the product is wrapped in cellophane, sealed with a sticker, or simply packaged in a way that makes clear it is unused. Once a fragrance has been opened, sprayed or handled beyond inspection, it cannot be resold and is therefore not eligible for return based on personal preference.
