Pre-orders for Studio Tanaïs run from 30 January to 14 February. Each scent is hand-made to order, then travels through our specialist international shipper before arriving in the UK in the second week of March.

Matí is a homeland scent, made from monsoon rain soaked clays distilled in sandalwood, sourced from Kannauj. Each batch of Matí is ephemeral, a memory of that particular monsoon season.

In Tanaïs's mother’s village, little terracotta bricks were a snack for expecting mothers, tiny pieces of earth chocolate. Betel leaf, the spicy green note of their grandmother’s beloved after dinner treat, paan, is the heart of this composition, an ode to their foremothers.

Each batch of Matí is distinct and different, as the Ganges Mitti Attar at its heart is specific to the time, monsoon and scent of clay that it is distilled. The current batch is Matí 2.0.
