Victoria is inspired by Victoria Ocampo, writer, editor, translator and publisher. A truly remarkable woman, her contribution to Argentine literature and support of fellow writers cannot be overstated.

Victoria is a quietly cryptic perfume, slowly unfurling layers of sweet smoke and tropical motifs around a marriage of creamy tuberose and lush rose. These two central notes are exquisitely realised.

Around this diptych perfumer Irina Burlakova has wrapped a profoundly sensual mix of juicy pink lychee, resins, patchouli and a pelty animalic dose of oud that enhanced the waxen eroticism of the tuberose.

The dewiness of the flowers at the start is delicious. As Victoria develops, it is the more basso profundo notes that begin to glow and growl, but the composition is so uniquely balanced, the sweeter and more hesperidic materials only tone out to form a piquant jade green ground for Victoria’s effortless sophistication.
