The opening is unmistakably cellar-like, wine lees and rum warmed through with nutmeg. Then the iris arrives, not powdered but resinous and earthen, pallida butter laid against germanica resinoid, with rose and ylang-ylang lending a dark velvet bloom through the heart.\u003c\/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe base is where the hillside comes in. Vetiver and patchouli over oak, dry and rooted and faintly tannic.
