ALLEGRETTO 7.2
Eau de Parfum
This hypnotic perfume, created by Italian perfumer Antonio Gardoni, was inspired by the moving second section of Beethoven’s seventh symphony. It is a piece of music that touches the soul. Violins roam the mind, and the cadences rise and fall like Autumnal weather. It starts with a whisper of strings like ice on windows. A slow melancholy is punctuated with stately booms and resinous chords pinned throughout with haunting woodwind and the delicacy of subtle brass.
Allegretto is a haunting return to the dark side of vetiver, less grassy and sun-lit emerald, more rooty cellar-shadows and maturing chlorophyll waiting to be transmogrified. Antonio loves the multifarious odours of vetiver, and all his Bogue perfumes have a facet of this iconic material. For Berceuse and this beautifully composed perfume, Antonio has looked anew at his manner of working with this beloved palette of herbal and dank florals. There is an odour of medicinal tincture mixed with the rubbed greenery of an abandoned garden.
