To celebrate the launch of Sainte Cellier, I'm debuting one of my absolute favourite, ride or die fragrance brands, ERIS Parfums, in the UK.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be taking a sultry dip into the ERIS collection; obsessing over the scents, fangirl'ing out over Antoine Lie and celebrating creative director Barbara Herman's extraordinary vision of disruptive, unconventional beauty.

I had only just finished reading her book on vintage fragrance, Scent & Subversion, when she launched ERIS Parfums in 2016. Scent & Subversion had a massive impact on my exploration of perfume, leading to many 3am feverish searches on eBay and Etsy for the long discontinued fragrances Barbara wrote about, many of which went on to become favourites of mine.

As someone with a deep appreciation of vintage perfumes, what I really love about the ERIS Parfums fragrances is how they manage to convey clever nods and sly winks to perfumes from decades past, but they wear with a modern sensibility. They're perfumes that I can fit into my day-to-day that have the quality HRH Mrs Diana Vreeland loved most - allure.

"Allure holds you, doesn't it? Whether it's a gaze or a glance in the street or a face in the crowd or someone sitting opposite you at lunch... you are held.

According to Christopher Hemphill who wrote the introduction to her book Allure, Mrs Vreeland went on to describe allure as "...something around you, like a perfume or like a scent. It's like a memory... it pervades."

I hope you'll enjoy discovering more about the ERIS Parfums collection on Sainte Cellier, and maybe even find a bottle of one you'd like in your life.

In a few weeks I'll be adding a few more brands to the site. Stay tuned.
